For these reasons I keep finding myself at the old school keyword tool that is WordTracker.com (the paid version). This service helps you find fantastic niche keywords and allows you to then dig much deeper than the other tools I’ve mentioned.
Let’s say you want to target the word ―wooden toy‖ in a website. , the goal would be to find the keyword phrase that had the highest search volume and the lowest number of indexed pages in Google. This would give you a site with a fair amount of traffic which targeted a keyword phrase that was not too competitive.
You submit a query for the word ―wooden toy‖ to Micro Niche Finder and the free WordTracker.com tool. The draw backs for using these two keyword tools would be the following.
1. Free WordTracker:
a. Only provides 100 results for each seed keyword or phrase.
b. Does not provide number of indexed pages in Google (just how competitive each term is) for keyword results.
